On October 19th Lights Camera Imagine of Canada (LCI) held its fourth hauntingly fun event at the Hospital for Sick Kids, Toronto. The Halloween inspired spook-tacular event featured Rob Joy and his puppet friend Sluggo from Alistair Ant Productions. Together they led the children in an interactive Halloween concert. The children were mesmerized by the light spirited songs about pumpkins, trick or treating, and the children’s favourite – What do you want to be for Halloween! Children who were unable to make it to the Bear Theatre were able to watch the whole show on the closed captioned system throughout the hospital!
The afternoon continued as the children were invited to decorate pumpkin and spider cookies donated by our friend Marnie from Parties Made Simple. The children were able to bring out their creative sides as we saw orange spiders, black pumpkins, and even and pumpkin-icing sandwich!
Fun and excitement was had by all the children. A big thank you goes out to the children and parents, Sick Children’s staff and all of our LCI volunteers. Special mention to Rob Joy and Marnie Lippa for their time and amazing donations. Without everyone’s combined efforts, these events would not be possible.
The show must go on and more than ever we need your support with “Likes” and Donations. Please continue to spread the love to your friends and community for “Likes” and donate what you can through our online donations to ensure the show goes on across Canada!
